The fun of being a wedding coordinator is the chance to see places you only read or see on print or heard. Specially, if it is your first chance to see the place. More so when you are involved, then the curiosity rises. It was a privilege doing the work for a couple where we organized details of their wedding plan a week before the big day.
Our head coordinator did the rundown of everything to be done from where they were booked to the reception. Details were listed from small to the big ones where concerns are called for. Even the couple was given some sort of assignment to help out in making their wedding day something to remember by.
Hours before the ceremony, the coordinators were around where the bride and groom to be are to bring important materials to church. Of course, we have the wedding planning checklist not to forget anything.
Two hours before the ceremony, we are around to assist guests who came, especially the bridal entourage where they were to be assembled ready for the walk. We do this to make things unhurried. Rushing gives the nerves, as you know.
There is part where offerings are readied, so 10 minutes before that, it is set. And when the ceremony is done, two coordinators assist for the pictorials where a protocol is called. Two others will collect the paraphernalia used during the ceremony.
Before the couple walked through the church door, they were greeted with loose flower throwing and a burst of party popper creating sound and flying colors. Well, a photo of this is amazing with a video that hovered into a scene.
Reaching the reception venue, guests were attended by the wedding coordinators where they are supposed to sit following the seating arrangements prepared by the couple for us to implement. We see to it that everybody had their seats before commencing the wedding reception program approved by them to run.
As the program went, the wedding emcee or master of ceremonies was assisted by the head coordinator to get the timing for what was next to ready what was needed for the program flow while the rest of the coordinators were having their assigned tasks fulfilled.
We had such an experience at the Secret Garden, Philippines where we as wedding planners had fun at the same time easing a wedding burden as a great concern.
