January 24, 2009. It was a memorable day for us for we shared the moment with two important persons on their wedding day. It was an early afternoon schedule but we were there ahead of time. We first proceeded to the reception area to set the sound system. D'Club at Taal Silangan is a simple clubhouse not that big but the outer parts is huge and newly planted plants mostly yellow ones are abundant. And the breeze was strong as if a storm was forthcoming but the sun was ablazed. Around 3:00 pm we proceeded to the chapel on the hill where the ceremony would take place. It's not that huge but the feeling the moment you step inside is different. It's like entering Jerusalem. There was total silence for we were the first ones to arrive. We set up the keyboard and tested the sound system. It was not bad. The place has its natural acoustics and that's fine with us. We were not there to concertized but offer our brand of music in reverence.
The ceremony started at past 4 in the afternoon and lasted past five. I wasn't aware of the time because we were not there to track time but our whole presence was enough to share. We did our part the very best we could even tired from the long trip before this. Anyway, everything you see around Tagaytay is a wonder. It's a feast to the eyes.
It was a solemn ceremony, one thing sure and we felt the mood with the guests. Proper silence was kept. And everybody were behaved even how simple folks they are. Not everybody were in finery. But all were dressed for the occassion and their very presence was enough for the couple.
I've been to the chapel on the hill thrice but still every visit I made gave me a memory. The place has a certain magic. I can't explain to you the details but try to imagine a chapel situated on a hill overlooking a panorama of mountains and trees and plants and all. And you'll know what I mean.
