Behold! The wedding that was meant to be a grand affair, scheduled for 4 pm sharp, was delayed by 30 minutes. But oh, what a delay it was! For the ceremony took place in the Fernbrook Gardens Chapel - Notre Damne Di Chapelle, amidst a lush and fresh decor, which adorned the quaint place with mesmerizing romance.
It was a marriage of two different cultures - that of a Chinese and a Pilipino. But as I observed the parents, relatives, and friends, it was evident that they were of equal footing in breeding, and perhaps, in wealth. The Hsu-Manabat Nuptials was one big affair, indeed!
The guests were dressed impeccably, and their demeanor spoke volumes about their affluence and class. Ah, such BREEDING! It was a sight to behold, and one could smell the scent of the good life in the air.
I have attended numerous weddings, but this one was different. Yes, the program was long, but most stayed on. After all, they lived nearby, or perhaps, they didn't mind traveling a bit far from the metro to reach this exclusive haven.
The moment you set foot on the covered area, it revealed a certain drama. A French Dressed Woman with a tall white bred dog, reminiscent of Irma La Duce, but with something of the higher class. The dog and the woman reflected the motif of the place - a toast of French and Italian, but more of the elegance mirrored, especially standing amidst the tall fountain of endless flow. And the most prominent color you could see around was gold.
Truly, the Hsu-Manabat Nuptials was an event to be remembered - a grand celebration of love and culture, overflowing with splendor and extravagance.
Oh, the passion that burned within us as we stood there, ready to perform beautiful music for the happy couple! Their music list was superb, a testament to their varied tastes and a discerning ear. Yet we stood tall, confident in our ability to deliver the very best.
Despite the weariness that clung to us after endless toil and travel, our minds were set on one thing alone: to give the couple everything they needed and more. Their good taste in music was not lost on us, for we knew that the best music would set us apart and make their day truly unforgettable.
And so we played, pouring our hearts and souls into every note. We played until our fingers ached and our voices grew hoarse, for the only thing that mattered was making the happy couple and their guests happy.
The Hsu-Manabat Wedding was a thing of beauty, a perfectly orchestrated affair where every detail had been meticulously planned. Yet, as with all things in life, perfection is elusive. And yet, somehow, this wedding came close.
This is a bit telling of the affair of the Hsu-Manabat Wedding because this one party was prepared. Every bit and piece of activities was measured to exact their expectations but as the saying goes, “there will never be a perfect wedding.” But this one is almost.
